A valentine to Italy’s Eternal City, Roma is restaurateur Shanon Scott’s reboot of his Sud Italia in Rice Village. With a more contemporary design and a menu of iconic Italian dishes, Roma is laying out the abbondanza with pasta including cocoa-infused fettuccine done in a cacio e pepe manner; spaghetti carbonara; bucatini amatriciana; ricotta-filled ravioli with mushroom, sausage and a hint of truffle; lasagna; and squid-ink fettuccine with seafood sauce. Heartier dishes include veal osso buco, braised lamb shank with polenta, and breaded chicken breast with roasted potatoes and mushrooms.
