Our in-person wine dinner series returns this week with “Don’t Cry for Me Nebbiolo: Nebbiolo 3 Different Ways,” a Piedmont-focused flight of wines and a menu created especially for the occasion by Chef Sandro.

ROMA wine director Jeremy Parzen will be pouring three different 100 percent Nebbiolo wines: One from “Alto Piemonte” (Upper Piedmont), one from Barbaresco (a 2008!) and one from Barolo. It’s a pretty nifty flight of wines. Nebbiolophiles wanted!

And dulcis in fundo, not only is it Jeremy’s birthday that day (Bastille Day). It’s also his last in-person event at the restaurant before he heads to back to Italy for the first time since 2020. He’ll be teaching for three weeks at the Slow Food University of Gastronomic Sciences in Piedmont — the heart of Nebbiolo country!
