We are thrilled to announce that ROMA will be hosting its first-ever “Dinner and an Italian Movie” night at the restaurant on Wednesday, October 13.

The event will include a short presentation and post-dinner discussion led by ROMA wine director Jeremy.

Many years before he met his wife Tracie and moved to Texas, Jeremy completed a Ph.D. in Italian language and literature at U.C.L.A. It was there during his early years as a student that he discovered his passion for Italian cinema, a subject he would later teach for the school’s Italian department. He later studied in Italy with one of the foremost film experts on Italian cinema at the University of Padua, Giorgio Tinazzi. And in 2011, Princeton University Press published his English-language translation of The History of Italian Cinema by leading Italian cinema scholar Gian Piero Brunetta.

The film he will be presenting on Wednesday, October 13 at the restaurant is Federico Fellini’s semi-autobiographical 1973 film “Amarcord,” winner of an Oscar that year for Best Foreign Language Film.

Please note that some scenes in the film are not appropriate for children.
